Excuse Me Mistress B... I love your shoes! Merry Happy 22nd New chrisimahanukwanzika!

WOW! I just realized that I haven't posted in quite some time. But this blog should be interesting :-)

This christmas break has been nothing but one long party and wedding preparations. From the moment I got back it was dress fittings, phone calls, seeing friends, bachelorette parties and food!

Christmas was awesome because all I wanted was to be with the entire family and relax which is what we did. Daddy made my all time favorite swordfish and I ate like a King.

Laura came and scooped me up one night and went to a party at her house. Ended up getting snowed in and drank and went shopping. It was so relaxing. I love my friends more than ever! <3

Our birthday party at BAR every year is usually something to remember... even though at that point in time we are not remembering much of anything. This year is was complete with cousins and friends. People that I love in my life, and were extremely glad they came out to help jamie and me celebrate our birthdays! A funny story at BAR tho... I went outside to curb ,y nicotine craving and dropped my cigarette. So without even thinking I said.. oh Scheiße...
Two men next to me look over and say... did you just say Scheiße? I said... um... yes?
and they started speaking german to me! I thought this was soo cool. Needless to say I didn't have to buy drinks all night... well.... I don't usually... But we took shot of Freiger all night. I introduced them to my friends and we danced and drank. Turns out, they were two German students here working on their post doc as surgeons at Yale. Cool eh? I had an amazing night. Thank you to everyone!

So that started the weekend of the parties. The next night Was Lisas Bachelorette party!!!!! A long time ago I was at brunch with Cliff in NYC around christmas (last year-seemed like forever) and we were sitting drinking Mamosas. I look over and see a bright pair of florescent lips attached to the building next door. I realize that it was a drag bar, cabaret restaurant and that I wanted my birthday party there!
Well.. We never had a birthday party there, but We did have lisas bachelorette party there last night! It was amazing! the drag queens were so funny, rude, and looked Gorgeous!!!!! They sang and acted like true Divas. The food was good, the people were loud, the stretch white limo was amazing, although we got into a slight limo accident coming back to CT that night...
Everyone looked great. and It was such a cool night. However... I am dead tired.

Tomorrow Stephen is taking me out for my birthday :-) and he wants to take me to the casino and to his favorite seafood restaurant. :-) I'm sure I'll have a blast.

new years eve soon follows and we plan to take Daddy to see that Nixon Frost movie that he wants to see, and then for some hibachi. I'm excited I get to spend new Years with Daddy and my sisters ! we will have fun i'm sure.

So far this vacation has been so relaxing! The wedding weekend is going to be rediculously crazy, but we are going to look so amazing in our red shoes... I should probably start working on my sister of the bride speech.... UHHO!!!!!!!

I don't feel like writing anymore...

I will update soon...
and anyway... pictures speak a thousand words.... and then some :-)

I love to live in America AY AY AY AY

Well, after 24 consecutive hours of traveling I have finally reached my destination. HOME SWEET AMERICA!

it was a long trip, but I managed to finally reach a state of composure and make it home in one piece. The anticipation was killing me.

My first night in my own bed was lovely thank you :-) The first day in America was absolutely wonderful! I slept late and had a niiiice cup of coffee :-) Then I got to spend the entire day with my herman! (twin sister). We went to a dress fitting for my sisters wedding! I got to see my other sister and we lauuughhhed and cried. It was lovely. The dress is going to look killer with my red shoes :-)

Then we went and ate chinese food like little pigs. The Chinese Buffet will never be the same after we left. The plan was to get some more junk food and go home löffel and watch movies, but a FANTASTIC surprise showed up at my doorstep AARON AND CHANDLER!!! Who are two of the greatest friends God gifted me with. I love those two! So we went for a ride and caught up on things. Then I went home and fell asleep watching requiem for a dream.

Right now I am on a conference call with Trina whose in New York now, Ena whose in Canada, Sydney who is still in Mannheim, and me who is now in Connecticut. :-) It's like old times.

One door that shuts. But another one that opens

The hardest part of the semester is not moving in, meeting people, taking final exams, putting up with jean jacket jumpsuit wearing professors that hate you... The hardest part is saying goodbye. Everyone will go off in their own directions... who will look back? I will look back and cry.. I'll also look back and laugh. Ohhhh I will laugh and laugh and laugh.. I will laugh at the time we fell asleep on the train and woke up in Shönau.. or the first time we changed the trash bags together. AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH paper bag gloves and hair ties!!

Spring is coming and another group of exchange students, naive and young will come here to Mannheim, and again I will have to make new friends, and laugh at new jokes. But nothing and no one will ever take the place of you guys :-) We started together from the bitter beginning, and stuck it out thru till the bitter end. Went through ups and downs together, and we even shared times together when we couldn't tell the different between up or down... left or right.... night or day :-) I'll miss everything about this semester and I'll always miss you.

A dragon who wears braces

Dragon

To see a dragon in your dream, signifies that you tend to let yourself get carried away by your passion. This kind of behavior may lead you into trouble. You need to exercise some self-control.

In the eastern cultures, dragons are seen as spiritual creatures symbolizing good luck and fortune.

To dream that you are a dragon and breathing fire and everyone, suggests that you are using your anger to get your own way.

Braces:

To dream that you have braces, indicates that you should not be so quick to criticize. You should stop talking too much and listen to what others have to say. It may also indicate your brashness. The dream may also be a pun on "brace yourself"

Its just a big fat whatever

It's all a whatever to me now. I'm done. I'm over with it. I built my bridge. Whatever. Whatever. and a big fat... Whatever.

Planning, creating, hoping, empty dreams and plans with no fulfillment.

Selfishness is a heartbreaker. Hope I never become that selfish. I hope I never grow old as to become a spinster, who sits and rocks. Bitter and vile to no end.

Whatever.

This is my rant.

I am done. No... really done. I don't care what you do. You can think whatever you want, be whatever you want, wear whatever you want, and do whatever the hell you want. Who am I to care anymore.

You must wear big shoes.. because when you stepped on me. It really hurt.

An Oasis of Red Shoes

I suppose life is getting easier... slowly... by the day... I sleep most of the day now so I don't have to deal. I've been working diligently on my website, and a video project for all my friends before they go back to their countries, but that doesn't involve me leaving my room. I don't have classes anymore, I only have one more test... this coming Wednesday, for which I am going to study until I can't study no' mo. This is the worst part of the semester. Having to put on face and suck up the *holiday spirit* and say goodbye to those who actually made staying here worthwhile. This sucks.

The ones that were here for you most aren't here anymore, and those who pretended are gone to. On a lighter note, I think blogging is a new hobby. (loooooserrrrr). I stumbled across a blog yesterday which I will follow for everrrrr. The Red shoe oasis. Its a blog featuring the work of one lady artist, who depicts red shoes in all sorts of occurrences. SO AWESOME. Her artwork is noteworthy and I hope to own one. The quest for the perfect red shoe is my life. It represents so much more than an aesthetically pleasing piece of footwear. Its an icon for all that is good in the world. 4 years ago when I made that promise to my best friend I said, no matter what happens I will always be one of *the girls* and I'll never forget the way that dancing has and will always make me feel. The feelings of being uninhibited and the implicit right to freedom that life entails are also part of the red shoe saga.

I guess it's back to the video project... maybe the website. I like projects to keep my mind busy. I'll go running a little later on. Then Hazel and Sydney are making korean food tonight, I volunteered to bring the fortune cookies. (running joke).

Parting is such sweet sorrow. Atleast I have my amazing friends in america to pull me through!
